Medical CBRN Operations Intelligence & Preparedness Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides operational, intelligence, analytical, and planning support to AFMEDCOM medical CBRN programs. Supports daily CBRN operations, threat and intelligence analysis, Integrated CONUS Medical Operations Plan activities, High Consequence Infectious Disease considerations, exercises, and coordination with Air Force medical organizations and mission partners.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and analyze CBRN intelligence relevant to Air Force medical operations, readiness, and consequence management.


• Provide daily analytical and operational support to medical CBRN programs.


• Identify emerging CBRN threats, operational concerns, and potential impacts to medical response capabilities.


• Develop briefings, assessments, recommendations, and decision-support products for Government leadership.


• Support Integrated CONUS Medical Operations Plan activities and High Consequence Infectious Disease planning.


• Coordinate with Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command Surgeon General offices, and other Air Force organizations.


• Participate in CBRN exercises, training, assessments, validation, and capability-certification activities.


• Support consequence-management planning, preparedness evaluations, after-action products, and operational recommendations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting CBRN operations, intelligence, emergency preparedness, medical readiness, or consequence management.


• Familiarity with medical CBRN response.


• Familiarity with the National Incident Management System, Hospital Incident Command System, and Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program.


• Strong analytical, research, briefing, and technical-writing skills.


• Ability to translate intelligence and operational information into actionable recommendations.


• Experience coordinating across multiple organizations and managing changing priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in intelligence studies, emergency management, public health, homeland security, biology/life sciences, military studies, or a related field is preferred. Relevant military, intelligence, emergency-management, or CBRN operational experience may be substituted for formal education.


• Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CBRN operations, intelligence analysis, emergency preparedness, medical readiness, consequence management, public health preparedness, or military operational planning, including demonstrated experience researching, analyzing, briefing, and translating operational or threat information into actionable recommendations.


• Highly Desired: Experience with National Incident Management System, Hospital Incident Command System, Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program, High Consequence Infectious Disease planning, Air Force medical operations, or Joint/interagency CBRN exercises.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior Air Force, Joint, medical intelligence, public health, emergency-management, or CBRN operations experience.


• Experience with High Consequence Infectious Disease planning, readiness assessments, or interagency consequence management.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Primarily on-site during normal duty hours; ad-hoc telework is subject to Government approval.


• Occasional CONUS travel is required; overseas travel may become necessary.


• Annual HIPAA/Privacy Act, Cyber Awareness, OPSEC, and CUI training and a non-disclosure agreement are required.

Salary Range

• $115,000 - $145,000
