POSITION SUMMARY


Provides specialized technical and analytical support for the development, modernization, and implementation of Air Force medical CBRN capabilities. The position focuses on strategies, policies, tactics, techniques and procedures, medical countermeasures, requirements development, and materiel and non-materiel solutions.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Research and review DAF, multi-Service, and mission-essential tasks, policies, publications, and requirements related to medical CBRN.


• Develop, review, and recommend medical CBRN strategies, policies, tactics, techniques, and procedures.


• Analyze capability gaps and recommend appropriate materiel and non-materiel solutions.


• Review and assess medical CBRN countermeasures against chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear threats.


• Identify operational and capability requirements and prepare supporting requirements documentation.


• Support modernization and acquisition activities for medical CBRN capabilities.


• Conduct workflow analysis and business-process reengineering to improve program effectiveness.


• Support CBRN training events, validation/certification activities, technical coordination, and decision-quality briefings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated experience in medical CBRN requirements, policy, readiness, acquisition, modernization, or capability development.


• Strong understanding of DAF or Department of War requirements processes.


• Experience developing or evaluating policy, strategy, doctrine, concepts of operation, or tactics, techniques and procedures.


• Experience with strategic planning, program development, workflow analysis, or business-process improvement.


• Strong research, technical-writing, briefing, and analytical skills.


• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Project; Visio familiarity is desirable.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Bachelor's degree in emergency management, public health, life sciences, engineering, acquisition/logistics, defense studies, business, or a related technical field is preferred. An advanced degree or relevant acquisition/requirements certification is desirable. Equivalent military or Government experience may be substituted for formal education.


• Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience supporting CBRN, medical readiness, capability development, policy, requirements, acquisition, modernization, or defense health programs, including at least 5 years directly supporting CBRN or medical readiness requirements, policy, materiel/non-materiel solutions, or related capability development.


• Highly Desired: Experience developing requirements documents, policy, tactics/techniques/procedures, capability gap analyses, acquisition support products, or modernization recommendations within the Air Force or Department of Defense.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience supporting Air Force Medical Service or Joint medical modernization programs.


• Experience preparing acquisition/capability requirements documentation or supporting CBRN validation and certification events.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Primarily on-site during normal duty hours; ad-hoc telework is subject to Government approval.


• Occasional CONUS travel is required; overseas travel may become necessary.


• Annual HIPAA/Privacy Act, Cyber Awareness, OPSEC, and CUI training and a non-disclosure agreement are required.

Salary Range

• $120,000 - $150,0000
