SETA Technical Support SME - METOC

Position Title: SETA Technical Support SME - METOC

Location: Arlington, VA - Hybrid (off-site with telework authorized) 

Clearance required: SECRET 

Scope of Work: Provides SETA subject matter expertise in Naval Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) to ONR Code 32. Supports S&T efforts to develop technologies enabling METOC capabilities across TRLs in support of the Fleet's Distributed Maritime Operations concept.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Support and manage S&T efforts to develop and demonstrate METOC technologies across program elements 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 


• Extract and organize technical, performance, and cost analysis information enabling METOC support to Fleet CONOPS 


• Work with CNMOC representatives to develop scenarios in support of Distributed Maritime Operations 


• Coordinate with the Fleet, ONI, and CNMOC stakeholders to analyze requirements and identify METOC S&T gaps 


• Plan and execute S&T or R&D meetings, workshops, and program reviews 

• Active Top Secret clearance 


• U.S. citizenship 


• Bachelor's degree from a fully accredited college or university 


• Ten (10) years of operational experience in the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) community 


• Ten (10) years of experience supporting and managing METOC S&T efforts 

Desired:

• Experience in Navy ERP


• DAWIA S&TM Level I or Engineering and Technical Management foundational training 


• 10-year experience requirement may be reduced to eight (8) years with a current PMP certification
