System Administration IV

Position Title: System Administration IV

Location: Newport, RI

Clearance required: SECRET

Scope of Work: Provides senior network system administration and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, IDS, and cryptographic equipment across classified and unclassified networks.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Install, configure, troubleshoot, test, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, content filters, and IDS 


• Perform cryptographic equipment and keying material loading, testing, and troubleshooting 


• Manage and operate the Network Operations Center, Secure Network Management Center, and help desk 


• Draft and update network Standard Operating Procedures for Government approval 

• This position is designated Key Personnel. Incumbent must be a DoD-Approved Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 3 individual (for example CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP or Associate, GCED, or GCIH).

• Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level. 

• Senior network administration and network security configuration expertise 

• Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2


• Must hold a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CCNP, CompTIA Linux+, and Intrusion Detection and Intrusion Protection training
