Job Description

Duties

  • You will oversee the integration of all Force Preservation and Safety Programs within I MEF, including but not limited to EPBHC, OSCAR, Safety, SAPR, MEO and UPFRP programs.
  • You will provide advice to the AC/S G-10 and guidance to other IMEF senior staff to ensure programs are executed effectively and efficiently meet IMEF G-10 mission, goals and objectives.
  • You will analyze projects/tasks to determine their relationship with stated goals, priorities, objectives, or desired end states.
  • You will develop an organizational strategy for achieving the desired end-state.
  • You will act as a primary point of contact for all IMEF G-10 staff sections and external stakeholders regarding force preservation and related programs.
  • You will maintain oversight by subordinate chiefs.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • Travel may be required on short notice, including travel to operational or combat areas. Travel may be up to 25%, subject to mission requirements.
  • Incumbent is required to operate a government or privately owned vehicle. A valid state driver's license is required and must be maintained.
  • Position may require work outside normal duty hours. Overtime, shift work, nights, weekends, and holidays may be required based on mission needs.
  • Position requires a SECRET security clearance. Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain this clearance. Failure to do so may result in removal from the position.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Government Travel Charge Card as a condition of employment. Use of the card is required for official travel.
  • This position is eligible for ad-hoc/situational telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting in managing personnel programs, ensuring readiness, overseeing integration of multiple force preservation programs such as Military Equal Opportunity, Sexual Assault Prevention, Family Readiness, Operational Stress Control and Readiness; Providing senior level leadership with program management and assessments; Oversight of subordinate employees, advising on work and administrative matters.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
