General Function:      

• Provide engineering management support for USAF and FMS programs throughout acquisition, development, sustainment, modernization, and lifecycle management activities.
• Coordinate with AFLCMC organizations, government agencies, security offices, test organizations, and external stakeholders to support uninterrupted program operations.
• Support the acquisition, development, integration, sustainment, and modification of weapon systems, subsystems, support equipment, and training systems.
• Provide technical support to Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) on Operational Safety, Suitability, and Effectiveness (OSS&E) requirements and compliance activities.
• Review Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), Requests for Variance (RFVs), and system modifications while maintaining system configuration baselines.
• Participate in Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), technical reviews, program reviews, and technology insertion discussions.
• Conduct failure analysis and recommend cost-effective solutions to improve system reliability, maintainability, availability, and performance.
• Support lifecycle engineering efforts, including analysis of alternatives, investment strategy development, manufacturing, sustainment, and end-of-life planning.
• Translate operational and user requirements into system requirements, technical specifications, and engineering solutions.
• Develop, review, and maintain system architectures, interface requirements, interoperability standards, and design baselines.
• Analyze contractor proposals, technical specifications, Statements of Work (SOWs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Support Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs), In-Process Reviews (IPRs), design reviews, audits, and technical assessments.
• Conduct mission analyses, trade studies, feasibility assessments, and technology evaluations to support future capability development.
• Support the development and evaluation of Integrated Master Plans (IMP), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), Systems Engineering Detail Schedules (SEDS), and engineering cost estimates.
• Evaluate system test plans, Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), test readiness activities, and participate in system, subsystem, and component testing.
• Provide systems and subsystem integration support for acquisition, development, verification, validation, and deployment activities.
• Perform lifecycle cost analysis, engineering performance evaluations, reliability assessments, maintainability studies, supportability analysis, and technical risk assessments.
• Develop and review engineering documentation, including Systems Engineering Plans (SEPs), System Requirements Documents (SRDs), OSS&E documentation, environmental safety evaluations, technical reports, and program briefings.
• Support program protection and security activities, including Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Program Protection Plans (PPPs), Anti-Tamper (AT) plans, Critical Program Information (CPI) identification, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), and threat/vulnerability assessments.
• Provide technical guidance and engineering expertise by conducting systems integration, verification and validation, technical reviews, risk management, electrical engineering analysis, emerging technology assessments, source selection support, and technical recommendations for weapon system programs.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:

• Master’s degree (MA/MS) and ten years of relevant experience OR BA/BS degree, and 12 years of relevant experience.
• Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
• Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
• Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
