Tharros is seeking a Network and Computer System Administrator to support Navy cyber warfare engineering and security services. In this role, you will help install, configure, secure, and maintain networks, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers that support mission-critical Navy and Department of Defense customers.
The Network and Computer System Administrator will support the installation, configuration, security, monitoring, and maintenance of networks, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers for Navy and Department of Defense mission environments. The role requires senior-level troubleshooting, strong system administration judgment, experience supporting secure or cleared technical environments, and the ability to guide less experienced administrators while helping ensure reliable, compliant, and mission-ready infrastructure.

The Network and Computer System Administrator will support the installation, configuration, security, monitoring, and maintenance of networks, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers for Navy and Department of Defense mission environments. The role requires senior-level troubleshooting, strong system administration judgment, experience supporting secure or cleared technical environments, and the ability to guide less experienced administrators while helping ensure reliable, compliant, and mission-ready infrastructure.
- Lead installation, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks, data communications networks, operating systems, and physical and virtual servers.
- Perform system monitoring and verify the integrity and availability of hardware, network, and server resources and systems.
- Review system and application logs and verify completion of scheduled jobs, including system backups.
- Analyze network and server resource consumption and control user access.
- Install and upgrade software and maintain software licenses.
- Assist, as required, in network emulation and virtualization, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
- Guide junior administrators on administration methods, troubleshooting, and documentation quality.
Requirements
- Active TS, SCI-eligible
- 7+ years of experience performing work related to network and computer system administration
- BS Degree OR Approved DoD Training Course
- Senior-level experience administering networks, servers, virtualization platforms, or operating systems in a cleared DoD environment is preferred. Microsoft or Linux operating system certification is also preferred.
- IAT Level III ( CCSP, CISSP, CCNP Security, CompTIA SecurityX, FITSP-O, or GFACT)
