Position Overview

Halvik is seeking a hands-on Senior Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and deploy agentic AI solutions for supporting the Department of Transportation (DOT) ACERS (Aviation Consumer Enforcement and Reporting System) Salesforce modernization. The Senior Salesforce Developer will collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Business Analysts, QA Engineers, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters to deliver secure, high-quality AI solutions in a federal environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Agentforce, including agent configuration, actions, prompts, workflows, and orchestration
• AI Agent Development: Architect, build, and deploy autonomous AI agents (using Agentforce and related frameworks) capable of reasoning, execution, and dynamic tool orchestration to automate complex business workflows.
• Experience Cloud Integration: Expose autonomous AI agents and intelligent bots securely to external partners and customers through Salesforce Experience Portals, ensuring seamless, authenticated, and role-based interaction paradigms.
• Lead the technical implementation of Salesforce Data Cloud (including ingestion, harmonization, and identity resolution) and build robust Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines to ground AI outputs in trusted corporate data.
• Prompt Engineering & Optimization: Leverage Salesforce Prompt Builder to create, test, and maintain secure, highly optimized prompts grounded in CRM fields and Data Cloud objects to maximize response accuracy.
• Claude & MCP Ecosystem Integration: Set up, configure, and manage Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers to deeply connect Anthropic Claude and Claude Code directly to Salesforce headless APIs and schemas (e.g., Salesforce DX MCP, Custom MCP Servers).
• Utilize Claudeforce concepts and Headless 360 frameworks to unlock Salesforce workflows, data relationships, and rules directly through external LLM clients without requiring traditional UI clicks.
• Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce applications using Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex, Apex Triggers, SOQL/SOSL, Visualforce, Platform Events and Flows.
• Implement secure, compliant AI solutions with auditability and governance controls
• Evaluate AI performance, response accuracy, prompt injection risks, and integration failures.
• Drive deployment, production stabilization, and ongoing optimization of AI solutions.
• Participate in technical design sessions and provide technical recommendations for new features and enhancements.
• Develop and support integrations with external applications using REST/SOAP APIs and Salesforce Platform Events.
• Configure and support DocuSign integrations within Salesforce.
• Experience with security, governance, CI/CD, Git, DevOps, testing, and AI validation frameworks.
• Participate in deployment planning, release management, and CI/CD activities across Development, QA, UAT, and Production environments.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues while supporting scheduled production releases.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Owners to refine user stories and estimate development effort.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Ensure high-quality code through peer reviews, unit testing (minimum 85% code coverage), and adherence to Salesforce development standards.
• Maintain technical documentation and support knowledge sharing across the development team.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 8 years of software development experience, including 5+ years of Salesforce development experience.
• Hands-on implementation experience with Salesforce Agentforce, Prompt Builder, Apex, LWC, Flow, Data Cloud/Data 360 and REST APIs.
• Understanding of generative AI, prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling, and agent evaluation.
• Experience delivering production integrations and resolving complex system issues.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Technical Proficiency: Lightning Web Components (LWC), Apex Classes & Triggers, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Flow, Platform Events, REST/SOAP APIs, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Git (Branching, Merging, Pull Requests), Deployment & Release Management, CI/CD concepts, Jira (or similar tools), DocuSign Integration, VS Code & Salesforce CLI.
• Compliance: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Certifications:Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, ISalesforce Certified AdministratorSalesforce Agentforce Specialist, or Platform Developer certification.

Preferred Expertise

• Demonstrated success in Federal Contracting, particularly civilian agency IT modernization or Software Factory programs; prior DOT experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum team delivery and with FedRAMP-authorized environments such as AWS GovCloud.
• Experience taking enterprise AI solutions from prototype to production
• Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect Certification
• Experience with Copado or other Salesforce DevOps tools.
• Experience with MuleSoft integrations.
• Salesforce Service Cloud Consultant Certification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
