The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
What You'll Do:
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.

Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

The Operations Strategic Capabilities Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution - from strategic capital investments, industrial operations and an efficient supply chain, to state-of-the-art manufacturing and test operations and top-notch facilities management.
What You'll Do:
- Supervise personnel to meet projected inspection staffing, training, equipment, and overall performance goals while operating within the constraints of available, planned, and budgeted resources.
- Work with production, project, and department management to determine staffing requirements.
- Organize department functions, inclusive of inspection assignments, to maintain program or production schedules.
- May develop and instruct in the principals and concepts of good inspection planning and measurements.
- Identify equipment required to inspect and test incoming production assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
- May develop and implement programs to minimize variability in all phases of the inspection process.
- Apply Statistical Process Control principals to trend analysis and problem solving.
- Resolve quality control problems within the department and other organizations.
- Review and recommend annual capital planning needs; assist in the preparation of justifications.
- Develop and maintain internal and external inspection procedures.
- May participate in strategy setting for the department along with management.
- Lead improvement projects that align to the larger department strategy.
- May participate in managing department budget.
- Prepare and maintain required documentation in accordance with company procedures and government regulations.
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- BS/BA in related field plus 2 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master's Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
