Blu Omega is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support supported mission area. This role is responsible for managing public health technology modernization projects within the CDC-funded Public Health Data Modernization Implementation Center (IC).

Program Overview
This initiative aims to support modernization of public health data exchange and interoperability using modern health IT standards across various health agencies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex technology modernization, interoperability, and data management initiatives supporting public health organizations.
• Manage project coordination, Agile delivery support, stakeholder communication, Jira/task management, risks, dependencies, and client engagement.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, build strong client relationships, and ensure timely delivery of solutions within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Maintain and update project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies; facilitate meetings, prepare agendas, document notes, and track action items.
• Support risk, issue, and dependency tracking; communicate potential blockers and considerations to project leadership.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to align tasks and deliverables, ensuring quality and completeness of project outputs.
• Contribute to Agile practices by coordinating backlog updates and Jira task hygiene.
• Support post-project reviews and lessons learned activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Public Health Informatics, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years project management experience leading full lifecycle technology projects.
• Demonstrated experience managing SDLC phases including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and closure.
• Experience managing technology modernization, systems integration, cloud migration, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Proven success managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities and stakeholder groups.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including architects, developers, data specialists, cybersecurity personnel, and business analysts.
• Strong knowledge of technology delivery methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Hybrid, and Waterfall.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical workstreams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Compensation
Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00
Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance.
