DeMase is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Compliance Manager to support facility-level and corporate environmental compliance programs and projects. The successful candidate will perform and lead multi-media environmental compliance audits, as well as develop facility-level environmental compliance programs and procedures. DeMase will consider various candidates depending on their education, experience, technical depth, and demonstrated ability to independently lead environmental compliance audits and author facility-level environmental compliance procedures and processes. This role may support ongoing projects and identify potential new clients for this type of service.

• Leads the implementation, maintenance, and continual improvement of facility and corporate Environmental Management Systems (EMS);
• Develops policies, standards, procedures, roles and responsibilities, and governance processes related to environmental management;
• Oversees environmental compliance assurance processes, including internal and third-party environmental audits, management system assessments, risk evaluations, compliance reviews, and gap analyses;
• Supports evaluation of proposed environmental regulations and policy developments, assess potential business impacts, and coordinate responses as needed;
• Provides technical support to site-level staff on complex and emerging environmental matters or litigation;
• Proactively develops strategies, programs, and processes to ensure compliance;
• Develops strategies for environmental applications and permits, as well as waste profiles and support characterization options; and
• Supports environmental reporting to state and federal agencies.

Pay range
