As a Project Manager I, you will manage projects from design through release and program closeout, ensuring successful delivery to customers. You will develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and interface with internal and external stakeholders on technical matters. This role typically involves managing simpler projects and serves as an introduction to people management.

Responsibilities:

• Support the planning and execution of non-labor scope within the SAOC Modifications and Maintenance IPT, including aircraft maintenance, modifications, material and spares, component repair and overhaul, tooling, subcontracts, and other purchased goods and services.
• Integrate technical requirements with cost, schedule, procurement, material availability, and program execution to support aircraft maintenance and modification objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Planning/Scheduling, Quality, and Program Management to drive requirements from identification through execution and closure.
• Manage assigned projects and discrete scopes of work, including development of plans, schedules, budgets, forecasts, risks, opportunities, and status reporting.
• Support the CAM in management of assigned scope within the Earned Value Management System (EVMS), including budget and forecast development, performance assessment, variance analysis, and identification of cost and schedule risks.
• Monitor material and procurement requirements against aircraft need dates, including BOM/material development, procurement status, supplier lead times, repair/overhaul turnaround times, shortages, and material readiness.
• Evaluate emerging maintenance and modification requirements to determine scope, aircraft availability, required need date, material/procurement impacts, cost exposure, and schedule impacts.
• Analyze program data and translate complex information into actionable recommendations for IPT leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain project documentation, action tracking, risks/opportunities, forecasts, and performance reporting.
• Facilitate issue resolution across functional organizations and drive actions to closure.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Secret Security Clearance

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management,

Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, Aviation/Aerospace, or related field.

• 3+ years of project management or related technical experience.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, aviation, manufacturing, maintenance, modification, sustainment, material, supply chain, or other complex technical programs.
• Working knowledge of project management principles, including scope, schedule, cost, risk, and cross-functional execution.
• Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM/EVMS) and the relationship between technical accomplishment, schedule performance, budget, actual cost, and forecast.
• Experience coordinating across multiple functional organizations to resolve issues and execute program requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage assigned scope, establish priorities, identify risks, and drive actions to closure.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate large or complex data sets and identify actionable issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with technical, financial, supply-chain, and program management stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Experience supporting U.S. Government or Department of Defense programs, particularly with an EVMS environment.
• Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) or supporting CAMs in management of cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Experience with aircraft maintenance, modification, heavy maintenance, depot/MRO operations, or aircraft sustainment.
• Experience managing or supporting aircraft material, spares, component repair and overhaul, APUs, landing gear, engines, tooling, or other maintenance-related commodities.
• Experience with Boeing 7474/747-8 or other large commercial, widebody, or commercial-derived military aircraft.
• Experience integrating technical scope, cost, schedule, supply chain, and risk within a complex aerospace program.
• PMP or other relevant project/program management certification.

• Strong hand/finger dexterity for typing and document handling.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
• Occasional travel may be required.
