Finance Data, Reporting & Automation Engineer

Our Deloitte Finance Transformation team practices to help chief financial officers, controllers, and finance teams define and execute their finance and global business services agendas and strategies. You will work with leading-class teams and solutions, helping clients navigate challenging environments, market uncertainty, technology development, and regulatory considerations to unlock value. Your work may span strategy, operations, process design, and technology as we partner with clients to transform finance.

Supports finance and budget functions through data engineering, reporting, automation, and analytics.

Our Business Finance offering enables finance to drive strategic value through transformation and synchronization of planning, costing, budgeting and forecasting across finance and other functions. Using advanced, scalable data and tech platforms, we also generate actionable insights and analytics, streamline decision making and enable data driven profitable growth. Manages risk and opportunities associated with diverse and complex grant programs through end-to-end grants management solutions.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• 1+ years of experience in 1 or more of the following;
• Financial reporting, reconciliation, close, or budget analysis
• SQL, Python, Databricks, PostgreSQL, or ETL
• Palantir Foundry, Palantir Gotham, or related Palantir capabilities
• Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Cognos, or SQL Reporting Services
• RPA, Power Apps, Power Query, or VBA
• Data quality, control validation, and workflow automation
• Finance, asset, facilities, supply chain, or logistics data experience is preferred

Preferred:

• Experience supporting federal, state, local government, or higher education clients
• Experience with data warehousing or lakehouse architecture
• Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) orchestration tools
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments
• Experience using Git-based version control and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Statistics

This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,500 to $170,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
