Enterprise Solutions Engineer
Onsite Annapolis Junction, MD | US Citizenship Required | Travel (less than 10%)

Responsibilities
As an Enterprise Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a multi-disciplinary technical strategist and advanced problem solver across a massive IT ecosystem encompassing 28 distinct engineering domains. Operating at scale to support tens of thousands of endpoints and users, this role moves beyond single-product administration to tackle systemic operational bottlenecks, evaluate emerging capabilities, and eliminate security vulnerabilities. You will perform root-cause diagnostics across complex hybrid environments—bridging Windows and Linux architectures—while leveraging PowerShell, REST APIs, and modern automation frameworks to engineer scalable, enterprise-wide solutions. Designed for an autonomous and naturally inquisitive engineer, this position requires taking high-level objectives with minimal initial direction, prototyping novel technical approaches, and continuously evolving the enterprise technology stack to stay ahead of future operational requirements.
Requirements
-Hands-on experience engineering, administering, or supporting large-scale enterprise IT infrastructure.
-Strong working knowledge of both Windows Server and Linux operating systems at the enterprise tier.
-Proven ability to troubleshoot intricate multi-tier system issues, isolate root causes, and resolve operational failures.
-Practical experience using PowerShell or related scripting languages to automate processes and workflows.
-Comprehensive understanding of enterprise networking, systems administration, identity, security baselines, and operational management.
-Ability to independently investigate technical challenges, construct test environments, analyze system behavior, and architect viable solutions.
-Strong technical communication skills to collaborate effectively with systems engineers, enterprise architects, and leadership teams.
-Demonstrated capability to rapidly master unfamiliar platforms, protocols, and technical frameworks on demand.
Preferred Qualifications
-Direct experience overseeing enterprise-scale patch management, configuration baselines, and infrastructure monitoring.
-Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services (AWS) enterprise cloud architectures.
-Familiarity with CI/CD deployment pipelines, infrastructure orchestration, and DevOps methodologies.
-Proficiency in Python or similar languages for API integration, configuration management, and system automation.
-Proven capability managing, securing, and maintaining endpoint fleets across large-scale distributed environments.
-Experience implementing automated compliance controls, vulnerability remediation, and security baseline auditing.
-Track record of maintaining uptime, resilience, and service delivery across mission-critical, 24/7 infrastructure.
-History of constructing home labs, sandbox environments, or prototyping testing beds to evaluate emerging technologies.
Education/Certification Requirements
-Level II 8570 Certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
