Financial Reporting Analyst
Position Summary
We are seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to support the Department of the Air Force audit remediation efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience performing financial analysis, audit readiness activities, substantive testing, and financial reporting within a federal or Department of Defense environment.
This role requires an active Secret clearance and the ability to work onsite at Andrews Air Force Base as needed to support client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform substantive audit testing and financial analysis of financial statements and related financial data.
• Review supporting documentation for accounts payable, reimbursables, obligations, and other financial transactions.
• Execute testing work plans, assess findings, and validate supporting work products.
• Research and evaluate compliance with FIAR Guidance, SFFAS, GAAP, OMB Circular A-123, and GAO Green Book requirements.
• Support the development of proprietary and budgetary accruals, including Accounts Payable and Obligations accruals.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Collaborate with government and project stakeholders to support audit readiness and remediation activities.
Required Qualifications
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, accounting, auditing, or financial reporting.
• Experience supporting federal financial management, audit readiness, or audit remediation initiatives.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
• Experience performing substantive testing and detailed transaction testing.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of the Air Force programs.
• Knowledge of federal financial regulations and internal control frameworks.
• Experience using financial reporting and data analytics tools.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, CGFM, CDFM, or CIA are a plus.
Pay Range
• Pay range: $90,000–$135,000 per year. This pay range is based on qualifications and experience, and assumes all role requirements are met.
