Network Design Engineer

Overview:
By Light is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Network Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network architecture, design, and implementation, with a focus on advanced networking technologies and solutions. This role will involve working with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy complex network solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect advanced network solutions, including IP, MPLS, SD-WAN, and cloud networking.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their network requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Develop detailed network design documents, including topology, capacity planning, and performance metrics.
• Lead network design workshops and provide technical guidance to project teams.
• Ensure network designs meet security, scalability, and performance requirements.
• Stay current with emerging network technologies and industry trends.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for network implementations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in network design and architecture.
• Proven experience with IP, MPLS, SD-WAN, and cloud networking technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with project management methodologies is a plus.

Active Secret clearance required.
