Systems Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering principles and a passion for solving complex technical challenges. This role requires a detailed-oriented individual who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop systems architecture for complex engineering projects
• Conduct system-level analysis and trade studies to optimize performance and cost-effectiveness
• Create detailed system requirements and specifications
• Lead system integration and testing activities
• Collaborate with software, hardware, and firmware engineers to ensure system compatibility
• Prepare technical documentation and presentations for stakeholders
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer, Mechanical, or related field)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in systems engineering or related field
• Strong understanding of systems engineering methodologies (e.g., INCOSE)
• Experience with requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, JIRA)
• Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering or related field
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
• Knowledge of safety and reliability engineering principles
• Familiarity with aerospace or defense industry standards
• Experience with agile development methodologies

Clearance Requirement:
Active Secret clearance required. TS/SCI clearance with polygraph preferred.
