Position Title: Software Engineer
Location: Panama City Beach, FL
Clearance: Active Secret Clearance
Position Overview
ISPA Technology LLC is seeking a Software Engineer to support the development, integration, and enhancement of embedded software for advanced defense systems. This position will primarily work within an existing codebase, troubleshooting and modifying software while integrating new capabilities and specialized features.
The ideal candidate has strong embedded programming experience, is comfortable working with existing code, and can collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot software, electronics, and system integration issues.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, modify, debug, and troubleshoot embedded software within an existing codebase.
Integrate new software features and specialized capabilities into existing systems.
Perform software testing, debugging, and root-cause analysis to resolve integration and performance issues.
Support software configuration, system integration, and troubleshooting with electronic hardware and components.
Collaborate with electrical, systems, and test engineers during integration and testing activities.
Review and improve existing code for reliability, maintainability, and performance.
Support documentation of software changes, configurations, test results, and technical issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
3+ years of professional software engineering experience
Hands-on experience with embedded software development and programming.
Experience modifying, debugging, and troubleshooting an established or legacy codebase.
Proficiency with embedded programming languages such as C and/or C++.
Experience integrating new software features or capabilities into existing systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating and troubleshooting software with electronics, embedded hardware, sensors, or related components.
Experience supporting hardware/software integration and system-level testing.
Cybersecurity or secure software development experience.
Previous experience supporting DoD, Navy, or other defense systems.
Familiarity with configuration management and version control tools such as Git.
