Position Summary

RiVidium Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Classification Specialist to support federal human resources operations for the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). The Senior Classification Specialist will provide expert support in federal position classification, staffing, and personnel action processing while ensuring compliance with applicable Office of Personnel Management (OPM) qualification standards and federal HR policies.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of federal classification principles and hands-on experience preparing position documentation, processing personnel actions, and working with federal HR systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform federal position classification and staffing activities throughout the employee lifecycle.
• Apply OPM General Schedule Qualification Standards, Operating Policies, and the Classifier's Handbook.
• Develop and prepare:
  • Job Analyses
  • Crediting Plans
  • Evaluation Statements
  • FLSA Determinations
  • Position Descriptions (PDs)
• Review and evaluate position descriptions for proper classification and qualification requirements.
• Process complex SF-50 personnel actions accurately and in accordance with applicable federal requirements.
• Calculate Service Computation Dates (SCDs) and maintain electronic Official Personnel Folders (eOPFs).
• Support personnel action processing and classification activities in Workday and CHRIS.
• Utilize federal HR systems, including USA Staffing, CHRIS, Workday, FHR Navigator, and Yello.
• Provide classification and staffing guidance to hiring managers and HR stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of classification and personnel action requirements.

Required Qualifications

• 7 years of professional experience in federal human resources management.
• At least 5 years of specialized experience applying OPM General Schedule Qualification Standards, Operating Policies, and the Classifier's Handbook.
• Demonstrated expertise preparing Job Analyses, Crediting Plans, Evaluation Statements, FLSA Determinations, and Position Descriptions.
• Hands-on experience coding and processing complex SF-50 personnel actions.
• Experience calculating Service Computation Dates (SCDs) and maintaining eOPFs.
• Experience using USA Staffing, CHRIS, Workday, FHR Navigator, and Yello.
• Active OPM Delegated Examining (DE) Certification is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
• Experience supporting federal HR operations within a large government organization.
• Strong analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple classification and personnel action requirements while meeting established deadlines.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000-$120,000.

The listed salary range represents a general guideline; however, RiVidium Inc. considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
