Job Description
Position Title: PC Support Technician
Location: Newport, RI
Clearance required: SECRET
Scope of Work: Provides desktop and personal computer support for NUWCDIVNPT users, resolving hardware and software issues and supporting the network help desk.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide network help desk coverage and respond to user questions and technical problems
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, software, and peripherals
- Log help desk calls and open and track work orders in the service desk ticket system
- Support activation, deactivation, and relocation of network users and equipment
- Minimum education, years of experience, and skills in accordance with the NUWCDIVNPT labor category description for this position and level.
- Desktop support and troubleshooting skills
- Personnel supporting the classified and unclassified network infrastructure must hold the certifications required to support the systems in accordance with SECNAV M-5239.2
