Operations Support Specialist / HAZMAT

Position Title: Operations Support Specialist / HAZMAT

Location: Arlington, VA - Hybrid (off-site with telework authorized) 

Clearance required: SECRET 

Scope of Work: Provides HAZMAT-focused operations support to ONR Code 32 programs, including hazardous materials shipping and CONUS/OCONUS logistics. Supports the integration, demonstration, and transition of S&T programs.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Manage HAZMAT shipping including batteries, power systems, and gasses, and knowledge of brokering, customs, and CARNET regulations 


• Support CONUS/OCONUS shipping including HAZMAT shipping 


• Support the integration, demonstration, and transition of S&T programs 


• Coordinate across Navy and Marine Corps warfare areas 


• Support operational and program security plans for staff and equipment during field events

• Active Secret clearance 


• U.S. citizenship 


• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university 


• Five (5) years of experience with DoD R&D programs, field testing and evaluation, and data analysis 


• Certifications for HAZMAT shipping, particularly batteries, power systems, and gasses 


• Verifiable certifications or experience staging (forklift, flatbed, crane operations, electrical technicians, etc.) 

Desired:

• Experience in Navy ERP or similar SAP experience
