DevOps Developer

Location: Gaithersburg, MD

Job Type: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite)

Description:
Our client is seeking a DevOps Developer with at least 2 years of experience to support software development and deployment processes. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments
• Manage cloud infrastructure using tools such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Automate provisioning and configuration of servers and environments
• Monitor system performance and implement solutions to optimize resource utilization
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle
• Ensure security best practices are followed in all deployment processes

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python, or PowerShell
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Understanding of agile development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic
• Experience with security tools and practices for cloud environments
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
