Job Description

Duties

  • You will serve as the Principal Staff Lead (PSL) for NSWC Port Hueneme Corporate Operations Department.
  • You will provide support to the department manager and the entire department management team in all facets of technical and business operations including facilitating and expediting executive decision making.
  • You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Department to include division managers, internal and external stakeholders, and community/customer outreach.
  • You will ensure compliance with policies, plans, programs and directives issued by command leadership are effectively implemented, keeping the department leadership team informed of all significant matters pertaining to the Department.
  • You will assist with department-level action tracking and management, metrics collection, support dashboard creation/maintenance, hybrid workforce effective and efficient communication and tracking, and data call coordination.
  • You will strategically manage the department leaders' time, working with executive assistants (EA) and others by aiding in scheduling or prioritizing high-level meetings and key engagements.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying evaluative and analytical methodologies to eliminate process bottlenecks, optimize business practices, and monitor budgetary spend plans, program resources, or manning allocations to support the facilitation and expedition of technical and business operations in the department.
