SelectTech is looking to hire an Aircraft Modification Operations Manager. This role will be a direct, hands-on management position that also prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the production work product for all integration and manufacturing required to install pre-built modification kits on C-130 variant airframes. The Aircraft Modification Operations Manager will support the SelectTech safety, quality, security, and environmental requirements to ensure a compliant operation of depot line modifications. This function is accountable for meeting production standards as well as maintaining a high productivity and efficiency rate for the hourly workforce.

What You’ll Do:
- Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and time constraints to meet modification timelines and requirements.
- Responsible for safety of the modification operation.
- Ensures operations and employees follow proper policies and procedures in support of company quality systems.
- Supervises, directs, and coordinates personnel activities concerned with on-aircraft modifications. This would involve but not be limited to knowledge of product technology, production methods and procedures, standards and machine and equipment capabilities.
- Supervises, directs, and coordinates personnel in charge of company FOD and tool control programs for all modification facilities at SelectTech.
- Interacts with the SelectTech Director of Operations, Aircraft Safety Officer, Engineering Manager, and Project Manager to establish production and quality standards.
- Plans and directs production activities and priorities for products in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.
- Coordinates modification activities along with safety, procurement, maintenance, production planning, and quality control activities to obtain optimal use of employee and equipment resources.
- Works with Quality Department to review and analyze production to determine causes of non-conformity with production specifications and operating or production problems.
- Thorough collaboration and effective communication with all appropriate parties, develops and implements methods and procedures to eliminate operation problems and improve product quality.
- Revises production schedules as necessary.
- Effectively communicates any changes in schedules, production or procedures to all shifts and employees.
- Ensure that training occurs for new employees as well as cross training of existing employees.
- Respectful and appropriate communications in interdepartmental meetings, and all internal and external contacts.
- Ensures compliance of practices, procedures, and instruction relative to applicable facility standards (AS9100 and ISO etc.).
- Will be responsible for following all company safety policies and regulations.
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- 5-10 years’ experience working on and leading modification crews on C-130, or similar type, airframes.
- Experience working with wiring installation drawings and routing diagrams.
- Ability to understand and interpret structural drawings to direct team members.
- May require certain certifications in field.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.
- Experience operating within an AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
- Effective communicator and leadership skills.
- Experience in planning labor and material costing.
- Relevant prior military service working and leading crews on C-130, or similar type aircraft, modification efforts.
- Familiarity with avionics, wiring, and structural installations.
- Solid judgement and decision-making skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills.
- Must be able to qualify for a Secret Security Clearance
