Job Description

Military Evaluation (EPRs/OPRs)

  • Manage and administer assigned Air Force and Space Force officer and enlisted evaluation programs in accordance with applicable DoW, Department of the Air Force, Air Force, Space Force, higher headquarters, and local policies and guidance.

  • Manage EPR, OPR, and applicable current or future officer and enlisted performance evaluation requirements from initial identification through completion, submission, and final disposition.

  • Monitor evaluation closeout dates, accounting dates, reporting periods, rating chains, milestones, and suspense dates to ensure evaluations are initiated and completed within established timelines.

  • Maintain accurate evaluation rosters, trackers, databases, dashboards, calendars, and applicable personnel systems to provide accountability and visibility throughout the evaluation process.

  • Validate evaluation requirements, rating chains, duty information, reporting periods, eligibility, and personnel data and identify members requiring initial, annual, directed, change-of-rater, separation, retirement, or other applicable reports.

  • Coordinate with members, raters, supervisors, commanders, senior raters, administrative personnel, and organizational leadership to resolve discrepancies and facilitate timely completion of evaluation requirements.

  • Provide administrative guidance and review evaluations for accuracy, completeness, formatting, required statements, signatures, dates, rating-chain information, and compliance with applicable policies and instructions.

  • Track evaluations through coordination, signature, final submission, and records update; proactively follow up on outstanding actions and coordinate corrections, amendments, missing evaluations, and other discrepancies with appropriate personnel organizations.

  • Maintain historical evaluation information, recurring requirements, templates, timelines, lessons learned, and continuity documentation to support consistent program execution.



Awards and Decorations


  • Manage and administer assigned Air Force and Space Force military and civilian awards, decorations, and recognition programs in accordance with applicable DoW, Department of the Air Force, Air Force, Space Force, higher headquarters, and local policies and guidance.

  • Manage individual, team, unit, quarterly, annual, functional, special, and other assigned award programs from initial announcement and nomination through review, board consideration, submission, selection, and final disposition.

  • Manage military decoration requirements from initial identification and package development through coordination, approval, submission, and final processing.

  • Monitor award announcements, eligibility and nomination criteria, decoration requirements, board schedules, milestones, and suspense dates; identify potentially eligible personnel and organizations and coordinate required notifications.

  • Maintain accurate awards and decorations trackers, databases, dashboards, calendars, nomination status, board results, and other program-management tools.

  • Establish and manage internal suspense dates and track packages throughout development, quality review, leadership coordination, board actions, endorsements, and final submission to prevent missed deadlines or incomplete actions.

  • Provide administrative guidance and review award and decoration packages, citations, narratives, and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, formatting, required content, signatures, endorsements, and compliance with applicable guidance.

  • Coordinate packages through appropriate organizational and leadership channels for recommendations, endorsements, rankings, approvals, and submission; resolve discrepancies with organizational representatives, servicing personnel organizations, higher headquarters, and applicable Air Force and Space Force agencies.

  • Track final award and decoration outcomes and coordinate required notifications, records updates, presentation requirements, and other applicable post-selection or post-approval actions.

  • Maintain historical program information, templates, timelines, board results, recurring requirements, lessons learned, and continuity documentation.



Promotions Management


  • Manage and coordinate assigned Air Force and Space Force officer and enlisted promotion programs in accordance with applicable DoW, Department of the Air Force, Air Force, Space Force, higher headquarters, and local policies and guidance.

  • Monitor promotion cycles, eligibility requirements, board schedules, milestones, suspense dates, promotion releases, and associated personnel actions.

  • Identify potentially eligible personnel based on published criteria and review promotion rosters and personnel records to identify discrepancies, missing information, or issues that may affect promotion consideration or processing.

  • Coordinate with members, supervisors, commanders, leadership, and appropriate personnel organizations to communicate requirements and resolve promotion eligibility, records, administrative, and processing discrepancies within established timelines.

  • Maintain accurate promotion rosters, trackers, calendars, databases, dashboards, and other program-management tools to provide visibility of promotion actions and requirements.

  • Support promotion board and cycle requirements by communicating published guidance, eligibility criteria, documentation requirements, required actions, and suspense dates to affected personnel and leadership.

  • Review promotion-related documentation and personnel information for completeness, accuracy, required coordination, and compliance with applicable guidance; coordinate required actions through appropriate organizational and leadership channels.

  • Track promotion actions through completion, monitor promotion selections and releases, and coordinate applicable notifications, administrative actions, and follow-up requirements.

  • Support supplemental promotion consideration and other special promotion actions by validating requirements, coordinating documentation, and tracking actions through final disposition.

  • Maintain historical promotion information, timelines, results, recurring requirements, lessons learned, and continuity documentation to support consistent program execution.




Job Requirements


Education & Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in military evaluations (EPRs/OPRs), Awards and Decorations, Military Promotions, or related program management functions. Air Force and/or Space Force personnel program experience preferred.


Software/Technical Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Teams, including the ability to develop and maintain trackers, reports, presentations, correspondence, calendars, databases, and program-management tools. Experience with applicable Air Force and/or Space Force personnel systems and data sources preferred.


Location: Colorado Springs, CO. This position is currently hybrid, requiring 3 days on-site per week. This position will transition to a full-time, 5-day on-site schedule in the future.


Salary information below is a general guide only.  Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as business and market considerations.


Salary Range: $110,000.00 - $125,000.00

Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role mostly sitting; however, some filing maybe required . This would require the ability to move files, or boxes with file data, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary, ability to lift up to 40lbs.

Mental Demands: Reading; communicate effectively (verbal and written); maintain emotional control and professionalism.
