SME Software Engineer

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of enterprise classification tools and applications.

The Software Developer will work across a diverse technology stack that includes Java, Spring Boot, C/C++, .NET, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, XML/SOAP, and Lotus Notes. The position involves both new software development and maintenance of existing legacy applications, including desktop, web-based, and service-oriented solutions.

What will you do?

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise software applications and classification tools.
• Develop backend applications and services using Java.
• Develop Java applications utilizing the Spring Boot framework.
• Develop classification tools using scripts, APIs, and web services.
• Develop and maintain Microsoft desktop and web applications using:
  
  • C
  • C++
  • Visual Basic
  • .NET
• Develop solutions supporting Microsoft Office and Microsoft Web Office environments.
• Develop Java-based web services and applications utilizing Apache CXF.
• Deploy, configure, and support Java applications within Apache Tomcat environments.
• Develop and integrate applications utilizing XML and SOAP-based services.
• Develop JavaScript-based services supporting classification applications.
• Design and maintain web-based user interfaces using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Maintain and enhance existing Lotus Notes applications.
• Develop classification-related functionality within Lotus Notes environments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, modify, and enhance existing software applications.
• Support both modern and legacy software environments.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective software solutions.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation associated with application development and maintenance.

Do you have what it takes?

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• BS degree and 11-15 years of relevant experience
• Professional software development experience with Java and/or Python.
• Experience developing applications using Java.
• Experience developing Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Experience developing scripts and web services.
• Experience with JavaScript development.
• Experience developing web-based applications and user interfaces.
• Experience with HTML and CSS.
• Understanding of XML data and SOAP-based web services.
• Experience developing, maintaining, or supporting enterprise software applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and maintain existing or legacy application code.
