Standard Job Description

You will be the Aeronautical Engineer Sr for the F-35 Flight Test MRB Team which is responsible for ensuring airframe, electrical, fuel and hydraulic system integrity during F-35 flight-test missions.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Aeronautical Engineer Sr you will be responsible for leading material review activities that support F-35 flight-test objectives.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Investigate anomalies and develop technical solutions for high-performance airframe, electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems.
• Prepare and release disposition orders for aircraft non-conformances.
• Coordinate resolution across Stress/Service Life, Quality Assurance, Structures, Systems Design, Safety, Materials and Processes groups.
• Interface daily with maintenance and flight-test engineering staff to drive process improvements and corrective actions.
• Provide MRB coverage on second shift, including occasional off-shift and weekend support, and obtain Material Review certification.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering field.
• Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Unigraphics, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
• Experience providing engineering support for aircraft production, modification, or sustainment.

Desired Skills

• Experience with CATIA V5 and Team Center
• Experience with metallic and composite design and/or analysis
• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Prior experience/role with MR Engineering signature authority
• Strong internal and external customer focus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
