Job Description
MANTECH is seeking a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Engineering Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA. This position will be onsite.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lead and support the design, fabrication, installation, and test and evaluation of prototype and developmental technology demonstrators to validate advanced electronic capabilities.
- Conduct and support designated tests, trials, and evaluations ranging from bench component-level testing to full system-level evaluations on designated watercraft, including checklist and verification signoff.
- Partner directly with engineers to design, build, and test solutions for technical problems.
- Research, write, edit, revise, and prepare technical reports, manuals, and official Navy technical documents.
- Work with minimal supervision at government and contractor facilities, receiving technical guidance from project managers while exercising safety and caution to eliminate operational risk.
- Perform Component Level Verification Tests and conduct field validations across various watercraft and equipment.
- Analyze operations and formulate suggestions for continuous process improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience with shipboard installations; an additional 6+ years of shipboard installation experience may be substituted for a degree
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical experience with AC/DC circuits and HF/VHF/UHF installation and/or troubleshooting.
- Prior experience and demonstrated proficiency in interpreting electronic schematics and technical documentation
- Education or formal training in electronics, covering equipment installation, soldering, cable dressing, and building/repairing connectors.
- Experience working with RF connectors.
Clearance Requirements:
- U.S. citizenship required and a current or active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and at heights as required
- Frequently lifts, moves, or carries up to 50 pounds
- Requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and kneeling during inspections and repairs
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors in operational settings
