Director, Technical Project Manager

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Director, Technical Project Manager to join our team. This is a remote position with up to 25% travel.

The Director, Technical Project Manager is a senior executive leader who oversees complex technology initiatives, directs large cross-functional teams, and aligns service, capability, IT, or hardware delivery with broader business goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Drives overall architectural design and strategy across complex programs.
• Secures delivery pipelines to maintain the highest standards of system integrity.
• Delivers automated infrastructure tailored for mission-critical federal environments.
• Leads, mentors, and scales high-performing teams of technical project and program managers.
• Manages key relationships between engineering, product development, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Oversees complex technology initiatives to align capability delivery with broader business goals.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with 10+ years of technical project management leadership experience.
• Proven track record leading, mentoring, and scaling teams of technical program managers.
• Demonstrated experience driving architectural design and delivering automated infrastructure in federal environments.
• Hands-on expertise securing delivery pipelines and managing complex technology initiatives.
• Strong background managing relationships across engineering, finance, procurement, and executive stakeholders.
• Experience aligning IT, capability, and hardware delivery with broader business strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Administration.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Agile certification.
• Deep knowledge of automated infrastructure and secured delivery pipelines within federal environments.
• Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Clearance Requirements:

• Must possess an active Top Secret clearance.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
