General Maintenance and Operations Supervisor

Duties

• Direct project schedules to ensure the timely accomplishment of construction and transportation work operations.
• Establish a preventive maintenance program to maximize the reliability of complex electrical, mechanical, and utility systems.
• Allocate manpower, materials, and tooling resources to maintain balanced workloads and optimize production.
• Analyze production, cost, and personnel utilization records to identify operational inefficiencies and implement corrective actions that reduce costs.
• Supervise a diverse workforce of personnel through subordinate supervisors to ensure strict compliance with safety, quality assurance, and EEO policies.
• Evaluate the job performance and training needs of subordinate supervisors to support professional development.
• Optimize organizational structures and position descriptions to improve overall workflow efficiency within the division.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

• Working Conditions : For this position, incumbent will be working in a mixture of an office setting and shops as someone that oversees work for mechanics and tradesmen but also works directly with the business office for planning and execution of projects.
