Job Description
Responsibilities:
Our client is looking for an experienced Network Engineer to architect, deploy, and sustain classified network infrastructure in support of enterprise IT operations across three geographically distributed government locations, including two greenfield SCIF facilities serving TS/SCI personnel. The selected candidate will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable connectivity throughout all sites.
Core responsibilities include:
Architect, deploy, configure, and sustain classified network infrastructure across multiple facility locations.
Diagnose and resolve issues related to network performance, connectivity, and security.
Support cross-domain solutions and the establishment of secure inter-site network interconnects.
Work alongside security and systems teams to ensure network environments satisfy accreditation standards.
Develop and maintain network documentation, topology diagrams, and configuration baselines.
Assist in the design and integration of video teleconferencing (VTC) and AV conference room capabilities across all program sites, encompassing both classified and unclassified systems.
Support network and security operations center (NOC/SOC) functions, including monitoring platforms, coverage planning, and around-the-clock support as needed.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent hands-on experience.
Minimum of 5 years of network engineering experience, with demonstrated work in classified environments.
Solid understanding of routing, switching, and network security principles.
Applicable industry certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Security+).
Working knowledge of ICD 705 physical security requirements for SCIF design and accreditation.
Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) as defined by NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53 for system security authorization.
Nice to Have:
Background supporting cross-domain or multi-level security network architectures.
Hands-on experience standing up networks in newly built or renovated facilities.
Proven track record leading or contributing to large, geographically dispersed teams.
Experience working within Special Access Program (SAP) facilities, systems, or environments.
