The United States Space Force (USSF) at the Vandenberg Space Force Base, CA is searching for a Program Manager for Space Electromagnetic Warfare (NH-0343-03, GS-12/13 Equivalent).
Description:
We are the home of initial skills training for the ENTIRE United States Space Force enlisted corps!
Every 8 weeks a new group of motivated enlisted Guardians Space Professionals arrive at the 533d Training Squadron, ready to start their journey into the final frontier!
In this position, YOU are the subject matter expert, bring your years of experience in Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) and your understanding of basic scientific principles of the electromagnetic spectrum to our newest Guardians! You will build the curriculum, manage the course, and even conduct classroom instruction to bring your knowledge and passion for the mission area to the Guardians. Finally, as the subject matter expert, you will also coach and mentor the military instructors to develop their skills and make them better warfighters and noncommissioned officers!
You will have an impact on the next generation of military space professionals and how prepared they are to dominate in the space domain.

Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working space electromagnetic warfare (SEW) missions.
- Instructional experience in an adult/technical setting (highly desired; strong public speaking ability minimum)
- Ability to develop curriculum for technical training (USAF AETC experience or other DoW training and education branch equivalent, highly desired).
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of USSF military space operations or joint warfighting and understanding of programs related to one or more of the following areas; Space Fundamentals (Basic Space-Domain knowledge, history, policy, & doctrine), Joint Warfighting, Military Intelligence, Cyber Operations, Orbital Warfare, Space Battle Management, Space Electromagnetic Warfare, Joint Planning, Force Modernization (aka Engineering & Acquisitions and Space Access & Sustainment), and Simulations, Threats, Exercises & Wargaming (STEW). Knowledge should also include doctrinal knowledge of Space Capstone Publication, Spacepower (SPD-1), Space Doctrine Publication, Planning (SPD-5), or Joint Publication, Joint Planning (JP 5-0).
2. Knowledge of AETC Instruction 36-2641, Technical and Basic Military Training Development & principles, practices, and techniques of instruction.
3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct a small group of individuals to accomplish a project or study. Ability to identify problems, develop and implement innovative detailed strategies to resolve a wide range of programming, budgetary, financial and management issues.
4. Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
5. Ability to establish and maintain relationships with key individuals/groups within and outside immediate work unit including field, operational, and service-level representatives.
6. Ability to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making.

- Must be a U.S Citizen.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret / SCI security clearance.
- Safeguards classified or sensitive information and/or files.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- Eligible for situational telework only, including Emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".
- Employee may be required to perform travel by military or commercial passenger aircraft in the performance of temporary duty assignments.
- PCS / relocation funding is not authorized.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- This position is designated as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program.
- Subject to TDY: 15 days a year.
- A permanent basing decision for STARCOM/DEL 1 is still pending. Position may be relocated based upon that decision, if applicable.
