Job Description

Duties

  • Perform tasks involving budget execution by compiling resource data from various financial management reports.
  • Utilize automated financial systems to input, correct, and process budget data.
  • Analyze statistical and budget data to support budget formulation.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets and other documents using several types of software packages for different office needs.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • A one-year probationary period is required unless previously completed.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required is 10%.
  • Incumbent must obtain and maintain the requirements for each Cyber work role.
  • Position requires the skills of a Qualified Typist. Incumbent must be able to type 40WPM.
  • The employee may be required to work overtime on an emergency basis.
  • This Level 1 Financial Management certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Formulating budget summaries and reports using statistical data; 2) Utilizing automated financial accounting systems to input and process data such as Defense Travel System (DTS) / Government Travel Card (GTC); 3) Reviewing budgetary data to provide support for budget formulation.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).

Education
