Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Virtual Platform Administrator to support the management, maintenance, and modernization of enterprise virtualized server environments and hosted applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies, cloud platforms, systems administration, and enterprise infrastructure projects.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience leading or supporting large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure initiatives involving virtualization, networking, and systems administration, with a strong understanding of secure enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise virtualized server environments and hosted applications.
• Design, implement, configure, and troubleshoot VMware based virtual infrastructure.
• Support virtual server provisioning, configuration, migration, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Administer and troubleshoot virtual machines, hypervisors, storage, networking, and associated infrastructure.
• Participate in large-scale infrastructure projects involving virtualization, networking, and systems administration.
• Coordinate across network, systems, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams to deliver complex technical projects.
• Support cloud infrastructure and migration initiatives across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and/or Oracle Cloud environments.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Identify and resolve complex infrastructure and virtualization issues.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, operating procedures, and project documentation.
• Implement infrastructure solutions in accordance with DoD security, configuration, and operational requirements.
• Support infrastructure modernization, virtualization consolidation, cloud adoption, and system integration initiatives.
• Ensure infrastructure solutions meet applicable security, compliance, and configuration requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience managing and maintaining virtualized server environments and hosted applications.
• At least 2 years of experience supporting or managing large-scale, multidisciplinary infrastructure projects involving:
• Virtualization
• Network infrastructure
• Systems administration
• Virtual servers
• Strong hands-on experience with VMware virtualization technologies.
• Experience with enterprise server infrastructure, systems administration, networking, storage, and virtualization.
• Experience working in complex enterprise or government environments.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple technical disciplines and infrastructure teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8570/8140: DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
• Experience supporting DoD or other federal government infrastructure environments.
• VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and enterprise virtualization administration.
• Experience with cloud migration or hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure automation, monitoring, and configuration management.
• Experience working with enterprise storage and virtual networking.
• Experience participating in infrastructure modernization or data-center transformation projects.
• Familiarity with federal cybersecurity and configuration-management requirements.
• Relevant Certifications (VCP-DCV 2020+, VCAP 2020+, AWS SAA/SAP/Security Specialty, GCP ACE/PCA, Azure Administrator/Solutions Architect/Security Engineer, or OCI Multicloud Architect/Architect/Cloud Operations certifications)

Salary:$120K to $140K
