SCRM Research, Strategy and Transformation Consultant

Work you'll do

As a SCRM Research Strategy & Transformation Consultant on the Supply Chain & Network Operations team, you will be responsible for supporting research, policy analysis, and coordination activities related to supply chain risk management and logistics.

• Research DoW supply chain risk management, logistics, supply chain, acquisition, sustainment, industrial base, and supplier resilience topics, and review policies, executive orders, guidance, studies, and reports to identify requirements, impacts, and implementation considerations.
• Support the development, staffing, refinement, and coordination of policy documents, briefings, talking points, memoranda, research products, and status updates.
• Track equities, issues, risks, dependencies, action items, and stakeholder positions across DoW offices, commands, components, and mission communities, and support stakeholder coordination, policy reviews, working groups, governance forums, data calls, and issue resolution.
• Analyze how supply chain risk management policies and requirements affect logistics operations, mission readiness, supply availability, sustainment, critical dependencies, and supplier resilience, and identify policy gaps, vulnerabilities, emerging risks, and opportunities to improve execution.
• Synthesize information from multiple sources into concise findings, summaries, meeting materials, action trackers, follow-up communications, and decision-support products, while independently advancing assigned work and escalating issues appropriately.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree
• 2+ years of experience in research, policy analysis, supply chain risk management, logistics, supply chain, acquisition, sustainment, industrial base management, transportation, or defense or federal environments
• 2+ years of experience supporting development, staffing, refinement, or coordination of policy documents, briefings, talking points, memoranda, research products, or status updates
• Active Secret clearance
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Ability to work on-site in Alexandria, Virginia up to 5 days per week
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

• 5+ years of experience supporting defense, federal, military, or national security organizations
• Experience with supply chain risk management policy, logistics planning, supply chain resilience, acquisition, sustainment, or defense industrial base risk
• Experience researching critical dependencies, strategic materials, supplier risk, production capacity, transportation networks, or supply availability
• Experience preparing executive summaries, research briefs, presentations, data calls, or decision-support materials
• Experience supporting policy governance, staffing, and coordination processes
• Experience using CATMS and DoW task management for action tracking, staffing, routing, status updates, and closure

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $88,600 to $147,600.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
