About the Role
We are seeking a Senior VMware Migration Consultant to lead enterprise-scale virtualization migration initiatives within a secure, mission-critical environment. This role is ideal for an experienced VMware professional who has successfully planned and executed large infrastructure migrations, modernized virtualization platforms, and supported cloud adoption strategies.
As a technical leader, you will partner with architects, engineers, and program stakeholders to develop migration roadmaps, execute complex migration activities, and help shape future virtualization and cloud strategies.
Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
Location: 100% Remote
Employment Type: 12 Month Contract

What You'll Do
- Lead the planning and execution of large-scale VMware migration projects
- Assess existing virtualized environments and develop migration strategies
- Design and support modernization efforts across VMware infrastructure
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and technical leadership teams
- Support cloud integration initiatives and future-state architecture planning
- Conduct migration testing, validation, and cutover activities
- Troubleshoot migration-related issues and provide technical guidance
- Develop and maintain migration documentation, standards, and best practices
- Participate in customer-facing technical discussions, reviews, and planning sessions
- Support next-generation virtualization and cloud transformation initiatives
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of VMware infrastructure engineering or administration experience
- Expert-level experience with the VMware ecosystem
Strong experience with:
- VMware vSphere
- ESXi
- vCenter
- Enterprise virtualization platforms
- Proven experience leading enterprise VMware migration projects
- Experience supporting VMware-to-cloud migration initiatives
- Strong understanding of virtualization architecture and infrastructure modernization
- Ability to serve as a technical lead and trusted advisor
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
