Position Title: Shipping Associate
Location: Richardson, TX
Position Status: Full-time/40 hrs a week
Position Description:
A Legrand shipping job typically involves tasks like receiving orders, accurately picking and packing products from the warehouse, loading shipments onto trucks, generating shipping documentation, and ensuring timely delivery of goods, often requiring attention to detail, ability to operate warehouse equipment, and adherence to safety protocols, while working within a team to meet customer shipping deadlines; depending on the specific role, it could include responsibilities like leading a shipping team or managing inventory levels for outgoing shipments.
Responsibilities:
• Order processing: Receiving and verifying customer orders, checking inventory availability.
• Picking and packing: Selecting the correct products from the warehouse based on order details and properly packaging them for shipment.
• Loading and unloading trucks: Loading and securing products onto delivery trucks using appropriate equipment.
• Shipping documentation: Generating and verifying shipping labels, packing slips, and bills of lading.
• Inventory management: Maintaining accurate inventory records of outgoing shipments.
• Carrier coordination: Communicating with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
• Quality control: Inspecting products for damage before shipment.
• Safety compliance: Adhering to warehouse safety procedures and wearing required protective gear.
Qualifications:
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift heavy packages
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Forklift operation certification (may be required depending on the role)
