Dell Server Engineer

Our client, located in St Louis, MO, is currently in need of a Dell Server Engineer for a 3 month contract. The consultant will work onsite in support of Dell PowerEdge Server and VMware operations.

Responsibilities:

• Act as primary onsite engineer managing day-to-day IT infrastructure operations
• Support and maintain VMware environment (vSphere, ESXi, VM provisioning)
• Manage Dell infrastructure including PowerEdge.
• Handle daily operational tasks including provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Serve as L2/L3 support for infrastructure incidents and escalations
• Coordinate with Dell support for hardware/software issues
• Perform system health checks, monitoring, and performance optimization
• Execute patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities
• Support backup and recovery operations (Cohesity experience preferred)
• Document environment, issues, and operational procedures
• Act as primary point of contact for the customers IT teams and stakeholders onsite
• Coordinate with offshore (India) team for extended support and task delegation

Required Skills:

• Ability to work onsite in support of server operations
• Experience with VMware vSphere / server provisioning
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Cohesity

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $55 - 85 per hour
