Work you'll do

As an Analytics and Insights Engineer II on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for...

• Design, develop, test, and maintain analytics workflows, data pipelines, and data transformation processes using Python and modern data engineering practices
• Apply algorithms, data structures, probability, and statistics to develop analytical solutions that support client decision-making and mission outcomes
• Build and support data models, analytical outputs, and technical deliverables using structured, documented development approaches
• Present technical concepts, findings, and solution updates to non-technical stakeholders and client teams in an onsite environment
• Document code, workflows, assumptions, and technical designs to support delivery, sustainment, and knowledge transfer

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of experience with Python and Scientific Python Stack tools, including NumPy and Pandas
• 3+ years of experience applying algorithms, data structures, probability, and statistics in analytics, engineering, or software solutions
• 3+ years of experience creating technical documentation and presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Active Secret security clearance
• Ability to work 100% onsite at the client site
• Ability to travel 0-10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred:

• Experience with WDP Databricks, including PySpark and Spark SQL
• Experience with development practices such as unit testing, GitFlow workflow, and docstrings
• Experience with parallelization techniques such as multiprocessing and vectorization
• Experience with modeling and simulation approaches such as system dynamics and discrete event simulation
• Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) clients or military readiness programs

For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in Virginia, Deloitte is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to Virginia and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $102,500 to $170,900.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
