Position Title: Army Warehouse Support Specialist – GCSS-Army

Wage: $20.36/hour
Additional Hourly Rate: $5.09/hour for Health & Welfare payments - to be used towards health and benefits costs, where any of the unused funds will roll over into your 401k.
Security Screening Requirement: Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Fort Stewart installation access and, as required for system duties, a CAC supported by a favorable Tier 1 or equivalent/higher Federal background investigation.
POSITION OVERVIEW
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking an Army Warehouse Support Specialist with hands-on Global Combat Support System–Army (GCSS-Army) experience to support the Georgia Army National Guard G4 Supply and Services Division and the Army Equipment Recovery Distribution Site (ERDS) at Fort Stewart, Georgia.
The specialist will support the receipt, storage, inventory, turn-in, redistribution, and disposition of Army equipment associated with unit modernization, transformation, excess-management, conversion, and inactivation activities. This position will also provide technical assistance to unit supply personnel and perform accurate GCSS-Army warehouse and property-accountability transactions.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Army logistics professional who has personally processed equipment receipts, issues, turn-ins, transfers, inventories, or excess-property transactions in GCSS-Army and is qualified to operate forklifts and related material-handling equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include:
• Perform GCSS-Army transactions supporting equipment receipt, issue, inventory, turn-in, transfer, redistribution, and disposition.
• Provide technical assistance to unit supply personnel completing GCSS-Army equipment turn-ins and associated documentation.
• Receive, inspect, identify, store, inventory, stage, and prepare Army equipment for transfer, redistribution, divestiture, or other disposition.
• Verify equipment records and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and accountability.
• Maintain item-location data, inventory records, transaction histories, and equipment-status or disposition reports.
• Research and help resolve transaction discrepancies, inventory differences, documentation errors, and property-accountability issues.
• Coordinate incoming and outgoing equipment movements and ensure materiel is routed to the appropriate storage, redistribution, or disposal location.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanized material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Organize and reconfigure warehouse storage to maximize space, maintain orderly operations, and prevent equipment damage.
• Support high-volume equipment-clearance and warehouse activities under mission-driven timelines.
• Follow applicable Army and Government procedures for inventory management, property accountability, safety, security, and loss prevention.
• Maintain accurate and auditable records while protecting Government property throughout the warehouse and disposition process.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum four years of directly relevant experience supporting Army or DoD warehouse operations, supply operations, inventory management, equipment turn-in, or property accountability
• Hands-on GCSS-Army experience performing warehouse, supply, inventory, equipment turn-in, transfer, issue, receipt, or excess-management transactions
• Demonstrated knowledge of Army or Government regulations, policies, and procedures governing inventory management and property accountability
• Experience receiving, issuing, storing, inventorying, transferring, redistributing, or disposing of accountable equipment
• Experience maintaining item-location records, inventory logs, transaction records, or equipment-disposition reports
• Forklift and material-handling equipment experience, with the ability to obtain and maintain all required operator licenses or certifications before beginning contract performance
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Ability to work fully on-site at Fort Stewart, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Ability to successfully complete required installation-access screening, including applicable NCIC-III and Terrorist Screening Database checks, and obtain and maintain a CAC and favorable Federal background investigation if required for Government-system access.
• Strong attention to detail, accountability, communication, and organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Six or more years of Army or DoD warehouse, logistics, unit-supply, or property-accountability experience
• Direct experience supporting an Army Equipment Recovery Distribution Site (ERDS), Supply Support Activity (SSA), Logistics Readiness Center (LRC), USPFO, Army National Guard warehouse, or comparable accountable-property operation
• Recent GCSS-Army experience processing high-volume receipts, issues, inventories, turn-ins, transfers, lateral transfers, or excess-property transactions
• Experience supporting Army equipment fielding, redistribution, divestiture, modernization, unit conversion, or unit inactivation initiatives
• Current forklift operator certification or recent documented forklift qualification
• Current CAC or prior favorable Federal background investigation & Public Trust/Tier 1 preferred
• Experience working directly with unit supply personnel, property book personnel, or Army logistics organizations
• Prior military experience in an Army logistics or supply specialty, such as 92A, 92Y, 92Z, or a comparable occupational field
• Experience handling sensitive, high-value, or otherwise controlled military equipment
• Experience working under Army Materiel Command or Army Sustainment Command standards
