The United States Space Force (USSF) at New Boston Space Force Station (NBSFS), New Boston, NH is searching for an Installation Access and Systems Manager to support MD31 (NH-0080-02, GS-05/11 Equivalent).
Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber, mission-ready professional to serve as an Installation Access Manager, a vital role dedicated to safeguarding our personnel, assets, and critical infrastructure. In this dynamic position, you will serve as the strategic linchpin for installation security, applying expert knowledge of Integrated Defense, Antiterrorism principles, and security forces missions to solve complex security challenges. You won't just manage processes; you will actively shape security outcomes by utilizing advanced program management and strategic planning to execute vital projects within established timelines and budgets. Utilizing your exceptional communication and negotiation skills, you will collaborate with diverse stakeholders, resolve critical problems, and build enduring, trust-based relationships across the installation to ensure seamless, secure operations.
As a key member of our security apparatus, you will operate in a highly secure environment, requiring the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance and strictly safeguard classified information. This operationally active role requires a professional who is qualified to possess firearms (DD Form 2760), ready to achieve DoD Security Fundamentals Certification within two years, and willing to support the mission wherever it leads-including occasional travel via military or commercial aircraft. Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess a comprehensive background in program management, strategic planning, and installation security forces missions, enabling them to execute complex projects and studies within strict financial and time constraints. They must demonstrate an expert-level knowledge of Integrated Defense and Antiterrorism concepts to analyze and resolve intricate security challenges, paired with strong organizational skills to prioritize resources, set strategic goals, and evaluate mission outcomes. Crucially, this role demands an exceptional communicator and negotiator who can build effective customer relationships, persuade stakeholders, and forge mutually acceptable solutions to complex problems. From a readiness and compliance standpoint, the candidate must be qualified to possess firearms (requiring a signed DD Form 2760), maintain a Secret security clearance, and safeguard classified material in accordance with strict regulations. Finally, they must be prepared to meet all operational demands, to include participating in the Air Force Civilian Drug Testing Program, obtaining the DoD Security Fundamentals Certification within two years, and traveling via military or commercial aircraft as required to support the mission.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security concepts, principles, and practices to review, independently analyze, and resolve difficult and complex security problems; apply policy direction to contractors and government/military officials, and develop guidance for applying security policy, procedures, techniques, equipment, and methods to a variety of work situations and various levels or degrees of security controls.
2. Knowledge of a broad range of security program relationships, and proficiency in information, personnel, and industrial security to effectively implement and administer applicable security programs and/or coordinate with other specialized security programs.
3. Knowledge of security classification methods, concepts, and eligibility for access to classified or sensitive information to review plans for proposed or new projects, organizations, and/or missions to assure the presence of adequate planning for information security and other controls.
4. Knowledge of required TOP SECRET (TS), SAP, and sensitive compartmented information (SCI) security procedures.
5. Skill in planning, developing, analyzing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program.
6. Ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to pre-employment drug testing as a condition of employment, and participation in random drug testing.
- Security Cooperation Foundational Proficiency Level: Incumbent must attain DoD Security Cooperation Workforce (SCW) Certification and complete related continuous learning requirements
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
- Recruitment/relocation Incentive funding is not available.
- This position will close after 5 business days or 75 applications, whichever comes first.
- Subject to Temporary Duty Assignment (TDY): Approximately 15 days per year.
