Standard Job Description

The F-35 team is looking for an experienced fuel design engineer for the Fluid and Mechanical Systems Team which is responsible for supporting production, sustainment, and development of the F-35 fuel system.

This role will be responsible for driving technical solutions to keep the F-35 fuel system reliable, maintainable, and future-ready.

Responsibilities include:

• Support development, test, and production of fuel components
• Perform supplier coordination and technical oversight, including preparation of specifications and statements of work
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for aircraft and system issues, delivering actionable resolutions
• Lead quote and bid kickoff activities, providing technical input and estimates

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aeronautical engineering
• Familiarity with Aircraft Fuel Systems

Desired Skills

• Prior technical team experience related to the development or support of aircraft fuel systems
• Experience with defense / aerospace industry supplier management
• Proactive task management and collaborative
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Experience troubleshooting faults on complex systems
• Familiar with technical documentation (e.g. AEI, manufacturing plans, repairs)
• Experience running Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) projects
• Experience creating, updating, and releasing engineering drawings
• Experience with any of the following industry analysis tools:
• Amesim
• MATLAB
• CATIA V4, V5, or V6

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
