Job Description
Location: 100% Remote.
Years’ Experience: 7+ years software development experience.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field.
Clearance: Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance. United States Citizenship is required as part of the eligibility criteria to be able to obtain this type of security clearance.
Key Skills:
• Software development experience using Java, JavaScript, React, jQuery, HTML, CSS and other Object-Oriented Programming languages.
• Experience in Architecture and CI/CD environment (ie. Docker, Ansible, Jenkins) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl) on Linux servers or environments
• AWS Cloud experience and ability to ship a system end to end.
• Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git and/or Bitbucket.
• Translate Confluence product requirements into structured Jira user stories, delivering robust Java microservices deployed on AWS infrastructure.
Responsibilities
• Software development with Java, JavaScript, and various scripting languages.
• Design data models and web APIs and creation of software tasks from system requirements.
• Perform requirements analysis, design, development, unit, and integration testing of software, troubleshooting and debugging of the system.
• Immediate responsibilities will include enhancing and maintaining the existing system as well as design, development, and documentation of new features.
• Usage of Atlassian Tools for day-to-day tasks within the Scrum process.
• Implement web services, data persistence access features and external interfaces.
• Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.
• Support in building and adjusting CI/CD pipelines within AWS Cloud Environment, deployments, and maintenance with changing needs and requirements.
• Translate Confluence product requirements into structured Jira user stories, delivering robust Java microservices deployed on AWS infrastructure.
• Implement web services, data persistence access features, and external interfaces.
• Diagnose server and production issues on the host and implement solutions for cybersecurity.
• Mentor junior level software engineers.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related technical field with software development experience.
• Active Secret security clearance preferred. Must be able to obtain and maintain and Secret security clearance.
• 7+ years software development experience and 2+ years AWS Cloud experience required.
• Must have professional experience in Java Spring Framework (Boot, Batch, Data, Security).
• Additional software development experience with developing user interfaces and front-end technology using CSS, HTML, jQuery, JavaScript (jQuery, React) preferred.
• Developed and maintained secure RESTful APIs within a microservices architecture, leveraging Java for core logic and AWS tools for cloud deployment.
• Experience with design, development, enhancement, troubleshooting and debugging web applications.
• Experience in Architecture and CI/CD environment (ie. Docker, Ansible, Jenkins preferred) and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl) on Linux servers or environments.
• Experience with the design, development, enhancement, troubleshooting and debugging of web applications.
• Experience with Version Control Systems such as Git and/or Bitbucket.
• Experience developing and integrating complex software systems through the full SDLC.
• Experience utilizing Confluence and Jira in AWS cloud environment.
• Mobile development experience with iOS and Android a bonus.
• Experience with Agile Scrum.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
