GCSSArmy Maintenance Technical Instructor

Position Summary: Serves as the lead SME and instructor for GCSS-Army maintenance operations, Plant Maintenance Manager instruction, unit maintenance management, equipment readiness, and maintenance-related SAV and inspection support. Location of work is Fort Stewart, Georgia.

Primary Duties

• Teach the five-day GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance Manager Course.


• Support XO/Platoon Leader Maintenance instruction


• Train military personnel in GCSS-Army maintenance processes


• Provide unit-level assistance with maintenance transactions and equipment readiness


• Support SAVs involving maintenance management and GCSS-Army


• Assist Government inspectors with Command Maintenance Discipline Program assessments


• Provide onsite technical assistance to maintenance personnel


• Review unit maintenance processes and help Soldiers correct procedural deficiencies


• Support equipment-status and maintenance-record analysis


• Cross-train as backup for ERPS and PMCS instruction

Recommended Qualifications

• Secret Security Clearance


• Minimum three years of directly relevant Army maintenance/GCSS-Army experience


• Expertise in GCSS-Army Plant Maintenance, Army maintenance management, equipment status, PMCS, maintenance policy, and unit-level operations


• Demonstrated adult-instruction capability


• Hold recognized credentials such as the Army Basic Instructor Course, Foundation Instructor Facilitator Course, Cadre Training Course, or equivalent Department of Defense or TRADOC certification.


• Must demonstrate a minimum of three to five years of specialized experience in Army logistics doctrine, including Army Regulation 750-1, Army Regulation 710-2, Department of the Army Pamphlet 710-2-1, Department of the Army Pamphlet 710 2-2, and Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations hazardous material standards
