Sr. IT Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior IT Specialist to support a mission-critical federal IT environment located in Camp Lejeune, NC. The Senior IT Specialist will provide Tier III engineering, troubleshooting, and operational support for enterprise networking and IT infrastructure, with a focus on network modernization, system upgrades, and maintaining operational continuity.

Responsibilities for the Senior IT Specialist Include:

• Provide Tier III troubleshooting and engineering support for enterprise networks, IT systems, and storage networking.
• Perform advanced system installation, integration, configuration, and operational support.
• Design and oversee network upgrades, technology refreshes, and new infrastructure installations.
• Troubleshoot and optimize IP networking, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and IPv6 environments.
• Coordinate network and infrastructure changes with cybersecurity teams.
• Support enterprise, regional, and local network operations to maintain availability and performance.
• Assist with network recovery, modernization, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.

Qualifications for the Senior IT Specialist Include:

• 10+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on enterprise networking and infrastructure.
• Strong experience with IP networking, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols, and IPv6.
• Experience providing Tier III network troubleshooting and engineering support.
• IAT Level III certification required.
• CCNP preferred; waiver may be available for highly qualified candidates.
• Active Secret clearance required.

Compensation for the Senior IT Specialist Includes:

• Pay Rate: $35 - $50/hr depending on experience
