Job Description
Kavaliro is seeking a highly skilled Systems Administrator / Network Infrastructure Engineer to support the Ground Intelligence Support Activity (GISA). GISA is responsible for the architecture, implementation, operation, and sustainment of critical global communications infrastructure supporting the Department of the Army on behalf of the U.S. Army G-2.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing and securing enterprise systems and network environments that support 24/7/365 mission operations within highly secure Department of Defense environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Administer Windows and Linux operating systems, including patch management and system updates.
-Manage and maintain Network Attached Storage (NAS) environments.
-Maintain virtualization platforms, including Microsoft Hyper-V.
-Administer Active Directory objects, users, groups, and organizational units (OUs).
-Develop and maintain system deployment task sequences utilizing Microsoft SCCM/MECM and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
-Support and maintain Active Directory Certificate Services (AD CS) and Certificate Revocation Lists (CRLs).
-Perform backup, recovery, and restoration activities for complex enterprise systems.
-Maintain highly available operational networks supporting 24/7/365 mission requirements.
-Implement and maintain infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including advanced vulnerability detection and mitigation capabilities.
-Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, and infrastructure issues to ensure mission continuity.
Required Qualifications
-Experience architecting and designing IP-based network environments, including network topology development and documentation.
-Experience troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
-Experience implementing and managing Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and TACACS+ authentication solutions.
-Experience designing, deploying, and supporting DoD enclave environments, including:
Compute infrastructure
Enterprise storage
Routing and switching
Firewalls
Network services
End-user devices
-Experience with Cisco Spine-and-Leaf network architectures.
-Knowledge of multi-domain network architectures, including data center, WAN, LAN, and virtualized environments.
-Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and secure systems administration.
Education & Certifications
-High School Diploma or GED required.
-DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II Certification required.
Preferred Qualifications
-Experience conducting technical security assessments utilizing ACAS, SCAP, and related vulnerability scanning tools.
-Experience supporting enterprise server, storage, software, and application service environments.
-Experience implementing infrastructure automation using Ansible and/or Terraform.
-Experience building, administering, and maintaining SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor (NPM) and IP Address Manager (IPAM).
-Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
-Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent Microsoft certification.
Clearance & Additional Requirements
-Active DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance w CI Poly required.
-CompTIA Security+ certification required, or ability to obtain within a designated period following hire.
-Ability to work in a mission-focused environment supporting critical national defense operations.
