Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Integration & Test Engineer to support mission-critical software applications and middleware platforms. The selected candidate will be responsible for software integration, deployment, testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment activities supporting strategic command and control, enterprise services, and mission applications.
This role requires expertise across the software deployment lifecycle, including middleware administration, containerized environments, Kubernetes orchestration, automated testing, and integration of software releases into development, test, and production environments. The engineer will work closely with software developers, systems engineers, cybersecurity teams, and government stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing mission systems.
Key Responsibilities
Integrate, deploy, configure, and test enterprise software applications supporting USSTRATCOM mission systems.
Support and maintain Oracle WebLogic middleware environments and associated Java-based applications.
Deploy software baselines and releases across development, testing, staging, and production environments.
Design and execute integration, regression, functional, and system-level test plans.
Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and automated regression suites.
Troubleshoot deployment failures, application errors, and middleware issues through log analysis and root cause identification.
Support containerized application deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
Monitor and manage services running within Kubernetes clusters using command-line tools and management platforms.
Perform software validation and verification activities to ensure adherence to requirements and security standards.
Coordinate with software development teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects.
Support CI/CD pipeline activities and software factory processes.
Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, demonstrations, and retrospective activities.
Generate technical documentation including test plans, test reports, deployment procedures, and integration guides.
Ensure compliance with DoD security requirements, RMF controls, and STIG implementation standards.
Support production releases and provide operational sustainment of mission applications.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field.
5+ years of experience supporting software integration, testing, deployment, or middleware administration.
Active Top Secret security clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.
Experience deploying and troubleshooting Java-based enterprise applications.
Experience administering or supporting Oracle WebLogic environments.
Experience working within Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
Experience with Docker container technologies.
Experience analyzing application logs and troubleshooting software integration issues.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Experience with automated testing frameworks and test automation tools.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, application servers, APIs, and web services.
Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
