SUMMARY:
Laukoa is seeking a Case Management Assistant to support the Medical Records and Case Management teams in providing administrative and records support to the State Surgeons Office for the Army National Guard (ARNG). This role helps maintain accurate and accessible medical and dental records, assists service members with obtaining and managing their records, and provides administrative support for medical readiness programs and events. The Case Management Assistant will work closely with Soldiers, medical personnel, and other offices to organize and process medical documentation, research information, respond to inquiries, and support Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) and Medical Readiness Weekend (MRW) activities. This position is well suited for an organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys helping others and working in a mission-focused environment.
This is a full-time, contract position with a Monday–Friday schedule and occasional weekend and in-state travel throughout New York.

- Hourly Rate: $30.46 an hour plus $5.42 H&W applied to the first 40 hours worked /PTO each week
- REQUIRED: Acquiring CAC and passing NACI background check
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative assistance support to the Medical Records and Case Management teams in support of the State Surgeons Office for the Army National Guard (ARNG).
- Assists in maintaining soldiers’ medical and dental records
- Assist soldiers with obtaining a copy of their medical record
- Organize medical records
- Scan/index all medical documents into the online database
- File all medical documents into soldiers medical records
- Assist soldiers by phone or walk-ins
- Researches and extracts data from electronic records.
- Works closely with other offices on related medical issues.
- Answers ad hoc queries using data from various databases.
- Provides administrative support to medical portions of the state Soldier Readiness Processing
- (SRP) and Medical Readiness Weekend (MRW) Program.
- Some weekend travel required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pre-employment background check mandatory.
- Acquiring CAC and passing NACI background check required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Contract employees will be required to travel to locations throughout New York State to meet with service members several times a year.
- Must have computer experience. Knowledge of Microsoft programs such as Excel, Adobe PDF and Word is a must
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in military, especially Army National Guard, or veterans populations
- Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Occasional weekend travel in NY
