Job Description
Spiral Solutions & Technologies, Inc. (SS&T) is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Strategist to support United States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM)/J57 under the Strategic Wargaming and Research of Deterrence Support (SWARDS) requirement. This position provides advisory and assistance services (A&AS) to advance the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in support of J57's deterrence analysis, wargaming, and analytic mission areas. This is a contingent-on-award role.

The position aligns mission needs, analytic workflows, and emerging technologies with Department-level AI policy, and identifies AI technologies that provide a decisive combat advantage and enhance analytic capability. The Artificial Intelligence Strategist functions as a technical-minded integrator rather than a primary software developer, ensuring AI capabilities are evaluated, governed, and incorporated into current and future analytic methods and tools.

Security Clearance Requirements

This position requires access to classified systems and material supporting national-security programs. All contractor personnel must be U.S. citizens and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance, with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Nuclear Command and Control (NC2), and Special Access Programs (SAP) accesses. Eligibility for required accesses must be held at time of task order award or prior to commencement of work/replacement approval. Personnel must comply with the task order DD Form 254, Department of Defense Security Classification Specification, applicable USSTRATCOM security instructions, cybersecurity and physical-security requirements, and all applicable requirements for handling classified and restricted-distribution information.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities

• Advance the strategic adoption of artificial intelligence by aligning mission needs, analytic workflows, and emerging technologies with Department-level policy.
• Identify AI technologies that provide a decisive combat advantage, enhance U.S. military lethality, and accelerate the reindustrialization of America's defense and manufacturing base.
• Function as a technical-minded integrator to ensure AI capabilities are evaluated, governed, and incorporated into current and future analytic methods and tools, rather than serving as a primary software developer.
• Assess emerging AI technologies, models, and analytic approaches for operational relevance to strategic deterrence, global integration, and long-range planning.
• Identify opportunities to incorporate AI into existing analytic tools, workflows, and methodologies while ensuring transparency, reliability, and mission suitability.
• Support the evaluation of AI-enabled capabilities for potential integration into deterrence analysis, wargaming, and analytic agenda products across the task order.
• Apply DoD AI policy, Responsible AI principles, and data-governance requirements to guide the responsible integration of AI capabilities into command analytic processes.
• Prepare reports and presentation materials documenting AI assessment findings, integration recommendations, and governance considerations in accordance with contract deliverable requirements.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience, or demonstrated working knowledge, applying AI, data analytics, or other advanced analytic methods within the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, or federal environments.
• Experience supporting strategic planning or operational analysis, and experience evaluating or integrating emerging technologies into mission workflows, analytic tools, or decision-support processes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of machine-learning concepts, model behavior, data quality, and model limitations.
• Ability to apply DoD AI policy, Responsible AI principles, and data-governance requirements to guide responsible integration of AI capabilities.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance with eligibility for SCI, NC2, and SAP access, required at time of task order award or prior to commencement of work/replacement approval.
  Preferred Qualifications
  
  
  • DoD or federal AI/machine learning (ML) certifications.
  • Prior direct experience supporting USSTRATCOM, another Combatant Command, Joint Staff, or an equivalent national security organization on AI integration or analytic-technology initiatives.
  • Familiarity with deterrence analysis, wargaming, or analytic agenda mission areas and how AI-enabled tools may support those functions.
  • Experience evaluating or governing AI tools within a classified or controlled-access environment.
