The Work
The Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems Software Engineer will have the opportunity to perform real-time processing software development in support of our product lines. Additionally, you will be working as part of an Agile team with domain experts from Hardware, Software, Subsystems and Systems Engineering to understand requirements, establish architecture/design, implement sound solutions, develop unit tests, and support integration and sustainment activities.
This position requires a U.S. DoD Security Clearance at the SECRET level. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications
- This position requires the ability to work in an accelerated team environment, proven software leadership and software architecture for mission critical military applications with a minimum of 5 years of directly relevant real-time software development experience.
- The candidate will have demonstrated competence in leading cross-disciplinary engineering teams and must have a strong understanding of requirements, functional modeling, C++ programming, Linux, software engineering processes, and software product life cycle.
- The candidate must have excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and be able to communicate at both programmatic and technical levels with subordinates, peers, senior management levels and the customer.
- The candidate must have demonstrated proficiencies in earned value, schedule, cost and risk management techniques.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering is required for this position. Occasional travel is required. Candidate must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance.
